Investing in our community

York Pride has reinvested $1.1 million back into the local community. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting education through interactive activities in schools, promoting emerging artists, creating jobs in the tourism sector, supporting local businesses, and promoting diversity development across York Region through community outreach.

Public Funders

York Pride is celebrating our 25th Milestone Celebration. All levels of government are supporting the 2025 festival. Attracted 45,500 guests over two days.   • Province of Ontario and York Pride work together to build strong 2SLGBTQ+ tourism in York Region. York Pride receives multiple grants annually to support growth.

  • Each year York Pride in partnership with Oxford Properties through Upper Canada & Hillcrest Mall engage with thousands of people.

  • Magna International & York Pride partner up to power up volunteerism in the community. Supporting over 200 people across to give back to the community.

  • Through UCM and HCM York Pride advertises on Cineplex hero screens to thousands of people.

  • Main Street Realty & York Pride painted the town rainbow. This partnership provided businesses on Main Street decals for the festival.

  • Each year York Pride works with hundreds of businesses across the region to highlight pride month, join in on unique business development and partner together.

  • York Pride works with UniversalCare to improve accessibility to festival guests through Riley's Room, Pride Parade seating and Main Stage support. Our branding ran on 5 screens across York Region and seen by over half million people.

  • Metrolinx & York Pride in 2025 will create unique ways to encourage more transit through the Barrie line and Go Buses to visit the festival.

  • Home Depot supports York Pride annually as our official supplier.

  • CUPE 905 in Newmarket is the home base for York Pride. Looking to offer space for office use? York Pride is looking to grow!

  • Sportsclips Haircuts is on the pride playing field, introducing a pride promotion all day long at the festival.

  • Each year, Starbucks Canada generously supports the festivals volunteer program through food, beverage and merchandise donations.

  • Through UCM and HCM York Pride advertises on Cineplex kiosk screens to thousands of people.
