York Pride is dedicated to providing a family-friendly and age-appropriate experience for all attendees. We take pride in offering diverse programming that caters to all ages, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Our events feature activities suitable for kids and adults alike. We adhere to a strict no-nudity policy at all public events, including our signature gatherings. In the rare instance of a 19+ event, it will be clearly labeled and inaccessible to minors. Our goal is to cultivate a safer and more vibrant York Region, fostering inclusivity and celebration for all.

It's our mission to offer inclusive programming to the 2SLGBTQ+ and ally community without barriers. All of our key signature events are open to the public, with no entry fees required. While we do offer packages and bonus experiences for purchase with our events, please note that these are optional enhancements. We want you to have the freedom to enjoy yourself without any obligations.

Come rain or shine, our event is on! In the event of lightning, stages and interactive zones will temporarily shut down for safety. Once lightning strikes are undetected for 20 minutes, we'll be back up and running, ready to continue the festivities.

Stay hydrated with ease! While most food vendors offer water and soda for purchase, don't forget: the Lions Hall at Riverwalk Commons has a complimentary water fountain available inside, providing free access via a water fountain, located just outside the washrooms on the south side of the building.

Your safety is our priority! In light of COVID-19, we're encouraging attendees to spread out as much as possible. Enjoy ample space along the top of the parade route, stretching from Park Ave to Queen St on Main Street. Feel free to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and make yourselves comfortable. Together, let's #StaySafe and enjoy the festivities responsibly. The busiest areas include Timothy, Botsford, and Park on Main Street, please refer to the parade map on the pride festival page located in the “Explore Events” tab at the top of the website.

York Pride will feature our brand new “Your One-Stop Shop” for pride flags, bandanas, hats, umbrellas, and t-shirts. All funds raised through merchandise will support the festival’s growth. This is your chance to support and get something out of it
