✨ Time to get mighty real with you. Ready for the big news? This fierce show will be headlined by two iconic queens:
👑 Kerri Colby – Straight from RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 10, and star of Slaycation, Kerri is bringing her signature elegance and charisma to the stage.
👑 Miss Fiercalicious – From Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. the World and The Traitors, she’s ready to slay the house down with her undeniable fierceness.
🎤 Plus, enjoy an exclusive Meet & Greet with the headliners — your chance to get up close and personal with these stars before the show!
💃 The stage will also be lit by local legends Athena Vegas and Carmen Del Rae, beloved drag queens known for their electrifying presence and community spirit.

Brooms In Bloom
A Pride Broomstick Workshop 🌈🧹✨
Join us for Brooms in Bloom, a whimsical and pride-filled broomstick-making workshop!
Brooms in Bloom is a brand-new springtime celebration where witchy whimsy meets community care—all in support of Shades of Hope Wildlife Refuge. This enchanting afternoon features DIY workshops, nature-themed fun, and a sprinkle of magic, inviting guests of all ages to show off their most vibrant, creative costumes and enjoy the season in full bloom.
Get crafty, express yourself, and create your own one-of-a-kind broom—whether it’s bold, bedazzled, or even glowing with lights. No experience needed—bring your creativity and a touch of witchy flair!
Joining us for this inaugural event are The Keswitches, a spirited volunteer group known for bringing smiles and sparkle to Georgina since 2021. Born from the beloved Witch Walk, they’re known for their playful performances, including the traditional Hexenbrut witch dance, and for supporting charities through craft sales and community fundraising. Keep your eyes out—you never know where a Keswitch might appear!
Sustainability: This event focuses on reusing and repurposing materials to craft something unique while reducing waste.
Exclusive VIP Pride Parade Access! Every participant gets VIP access to march in the 2025 Pride Parade in Newmarket on Saturday, June 21st! Fly, dance, or strut in our Witches & Warlocks music dance-off.

Our We Belong Pride Breakfast is back to kick-off our 2025 Pride month.
By joining together with our community partners, we are sending a strong message to our community: We all belong in York Region.
Your attendance at the We Belong Pride Breakfast allows you to show your support for members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community and help our partners provide the much needed resources for those in need.
In supporting us, you also establish your organization as an inclusive and welcoming community partner.
Our goal is to provide much needed funding to our valued allies, in an effort to reach vulnerable members of our community and to educate our citizens about the numerous resources available if they ever need assistance.
Proceeds of this year’s Pride Breakfast will go to York Pride, in celebration of their 25th anniversary. York Pride aims for an inclusive, thriving 2SLGBTQ+ community that is built on respect, education and authentic connection.

The York Pride Festival is making all station stops to “fun town.” Join the ultimate 2SLGBTQ+ celebration in York Region, bringing together thousands of people for a weekend of music, entertainment, food, and interactive experiences. Nestled in the heart of historic downtown Newmarket, this vibrant festival transforms nearly 40,000 square meters—equivalent to seven football fields—into an unforgettable hub of pride, connection, and excitement.

🎤 Mega Stage Entertainment – All Canadian Live performances featuring drag superstars, musicians, DJs, and cultural acts.
🎮 Gaming Zone – VR Interactive experiences, gaming competitions, and immersive activities.

🌈 Family Fun at the Rainbow Rally Stage – A dedicated kids' area with engaging performances, crafts, and games.

York Pride Parade
A Celebration of Community, Respect and Connection
Saturday, June 21, 2025, 6:00 PM (Golden Hour)
The York Pride Parade is one of Ontario’s largest and most vibrant regional 2SLGBTQ+ celebrations, set against the charming backdrop of historic downtown Newmarket. As the host municipality and a strategic partner, the Town of Newmarket plays a crucial role in ensuring the festival remains a safe, successful, and family-friendly celebration for all ages.

Parade Route:
The parade kicks off at Main Street & Queen Street, travelling southbound along Main Street before turning left onto Water Street. Marchers will then cross the Fairy Lake Bridge, culminating at Doug Duncan Drive, seamlessly transitioning into the festival grounds. This vast space, spanning nearly 40,000 square meters—equivalent to almost seven football fields—will host the festival’s Jubilee Year of programming.

What began as a grassroots initiative in the early 2000s has blossomed into a landmark event, showcasing York Pride’s evolution into a federally recognized organization leading one of Canada’s fastest-growing Pride festivals.
In 2025, Newmarket is set to welcome over 4,000 marchers and an estimated 15,000 to 25,000 spectators, all gathering to witness a dazzling display of love, unity, and inclusion. Featuring brand-new floats, electrifying performances, and an ever-expanding lineup of community groups, the parade is a powerful symbol of visibility, progress, and the ongoing fight for equality.

Our community has always fought to uplift and protect one another—challenging discrimination, fighting for marriage equality, workplace rights, and the freedom to be ourselves.
Yet, the fight continues. Issues of race, class, ability, and gender still test our commitment to justice, with Trans and Nonbinary individuals often facing rejection both outside and within our community. Sadly, even members of our own community stand back and say things such as, "We are not one of you."
Trailblazers like Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera and many others have sparked change, but the road remains long. Equality cannot be reserved for those deemed "acceptable" by others—it must be for all of us, or it is for none of us.
More than ever, NOW is the time to SHOW UP. The time to rally. The time to engage. York Pride is calling on you to be present. Be part of the next phase of change.
