Celebrate family time together on Family Day in Georgina. Nestled in the North of York Region lies a day full of activities for all ages. This free event offers access to indoor skating, a winter wonderland market and busker entertainment.
DJ BLACKCAT LIVE ON ICE
Known to a select few as Mykel Hall, DJ Blackcat was one of the first DJs to spin hip hop, reggae, and R&B in Toronto’s queer community, and has been making crowds dance for more than two decades.

We know our guests enjoy savoury dishes that are hot, fresh, and delicious. We have meat, vegetarian options available. Don’t forget to check out our maple syrup station for maple taffy pops!
Winter Wonderland Market
Got a bit of February fever? We’ve got the best pick-me-ups for you. Experience a variety of vendors offering candles, glitter, and treats. Don’t forget to visit The Glitter Bar and get a fabulous make-over before you hit the ice.
Skate or Chill !
Get on the ice and jam out to DJ Blackcat or grab a drink and chill. Don’t forget to checkout our buskers in the lobby and make a pronoun button-with the York Region Youth Collective to share your story in a creative way.

York Pride is delighted to support Georgina Pride, a grassroots 2SLGBTQ+ group supporting social events in the North of York Region. Georgina Pride will have a booth offering information on their programming and how donations are going to be used. This group will receive 100% of the proceeds.

Is parking available?
Yes, lots of parking and it’s free!
Does this event cost money?
No, this event is completely free and open to the public. We are accepting pay-what-you-can donations to support Georgina Pride, a grassroots community organization.
Are skate rentals available at Georgina Ice Palace?
Great question, sadly this event is BYOS (Bring Your Own Skates).
Are helmets mandatory?
CSA-approved helmets are strongly encouraged. All participants on the ice must wear skates. No sticks, pucks, chairs, strollers, or sleds are permitted on the ice surface. Learn-to-skate aids are not permitted as per facility rules.
Are there washrooms?
Public washroom facilities will be available onsite. Skate changing area available as well. We are working with the facility to enhance gender neutral amenities ask a volunteer if you need help.
